Bringing your child's team together
Turning multiple supports into one shared plan
Kiind's upcoming Virtual MyTime session is designed for parents and carers of children with disability aged 0-18 years who may be autistic, have ADHD, or have developmental differences impacting daily life.
Occupational therapist, Tasha Alach, from Kaleidoscope, will be joining Kiind's Virtual MyTime sessions over two weeks (Friday, 5 June and Friday, 12 June) to support families of neurodivergent children. These sessions are a follow on from one another and will provide attendees with strategies they can use immediately at home while helping them feel more confident navigating services and supports for their child.
See our first session with Tasha here.
In this session, attendees will explore how to bring their child's team together to create one shared plan for their child. This includes understanding how to manage multiple professionals, plans, and environments, including childcare, school, therapists, and medical providers.
Topics discussed in this session include:
- Understanding the “Team Around the Child” approach
- How therapists, educators and medical professionals can collaborate effectively
- Reducing stress in managing multiple plans and recommendations
- Supporting consistent strategies across home, school and therapy
- Practical ways to advocate for your child while strengthening collaboration
