Delivered by CLV in partnership with CPR First Aid, a nationally recognised training provider, this course is designed for community language teachers and staff who require Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification for workplace or compliance purposes.

This course is a Unit of Competency that provides the skills and knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This CPR update course is the most recent version of what is often referred to as the CPR Update or CPR Refresher. This CPR course is one of our most requested courses, specifically covering the ability to administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on adults, children and infants. It will provide you with an understanding of how to apply Basic Emergency Life Support, CPR and Defibrillation (AED) until more advanced medical help arrives.
TOPICS COVERED
- Perform CPR on adult, child and infant manikins
- Place a casualty in the recovery position, manage an unconscious breathing casualty, manual handling techniques
- Respond to regurgitation and vomiting, choking
- Use an Automated External Defibrillator(AED)
- Provide an accurate written or verbal incident report
- Refresher first aid codes of practice and workplace procedures
- Refresh legal,workplace and community considerations
- Basic anatomy and physiology and more
DELIVERY MODE
1.5 hour face-to-face course with online theory that must be completed BEFORE the face-to-face component.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
During registration, you will be asked whether participants require any language, literacy, numeracy or digital support. This allows us to ensure appropriate support is available during training.
⚠️ Important Requirements (Read Before Booking)
- A valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required to receive certification.
- Online theory must be completed before attending.
- Participants must be able to attend their selected session.
To confirm participant numbers with the training provider, bookings are final once confirmed.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another participant with notice.
