About
Belonging in a Divided World - The Vedantic path to belonging in a fragmented world
In a time of searching conversations about identity, migration, culture and belonging — including here in Australia — many are asking deeper questions: Who am I? Where do I truly belong? What unites us beneath our differences?
Drawing from the non-dual wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, Swami Sarvapriyananda explores a vision of the Self that transcends labels while honouring diversity. Beneath nationality, race, religion, and ideology, Vedanta points to a deeper identity — one that is universal, inclusive, and inwardly free.
This lecture invites students and the wider Sydney community to reflect on belonging at its deepest level — not merely as social acceptance, but as insight into who we truly are.
“Perhaps the deepest belonging is not something we achieve — but something we discover.”
