ALIVE STILLNESS & TIPPING POINTS

Alive stillness as an anchor, a place that invites multiple layers of not knowing, nourishing connection to self, awareness of others and sensitivity to the space around us. It gives life to the dance through its contrast with flow, habit, momentum and wildness.

Within stillness there is already movement waiting: the subtle sway of balance, the breath before a shift, the almost-imperceptible moment where weight gathers and begins to tip. We will listen for that threshold - the delicate point where balance leans into lightness, where grounding becomes lift, where the body discovers the possibility of taking off.

How can stillness be physically alive? How can we land in it, find home in the not-moving so that it feels natural, spacious and full of potential? And how can compositional beauty emerge, almost magically from that moment of poised suspension?
