Come to the Table - Clergy Dinner
About
Join us on Wednesday, 3 June at St Mark's National Theological Centre for an evening of shared conversation, good food, and unhurried time together. At the heart of the evening will be an exploration of Sabbath Gospel—a groundbreaking new book by St Mark's own Dr Amy Erickson and Rev Dr G. P. Wagenfuhr—and what its vision of Sabbath, rest, and the church's calling might mean for the culture and shape of your ministry. In a season when exhaustion feels all too familiar, Sabbath Gospel invites us to see rest not as withdrawal, but as resistance—a bold, communal reimagining of life as the household of God in a weary world, where burdens are lifted and the restoring power of the gospel is renewed among us.
Come to the Table offers a space to slow down, reflect deeply, and share in the challenges and the hope of ministry with fellow clergy. The evening includes a relaxed meal together, a facilitated workshop drawing on the book's insights, and plenty of space for conversation and prayer together.
