Sharp‑tongued Katherina refuses to conform to a society that prizes obedience over independence, while those around her attempt to “tame” what they fear they cannot control. When Petruchio enters her world, their clash becomes a high‑stakes game of role‑playing, bargaining and survival, exposing marriage as theatre and gender as something learned, not fixed.
