The Waterloo Dinner was first held at ANZAC Cove on the 18 Jun 1915. The dinner was to celebrate the completion of Watson’s Pier whose construction was overseen by a Signals officer in the Royal Australian Engineers. The dinner was named as a result of the first dinner being held on the 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.
