NEST 6 Week Cooking and Nutrition Program
About
Join us for a NEST (Nutrition Education & Skills Training) free 6 week cooking and nutrition program.In a fun and supportive environment, our 2.5 hour weekly workshops will include learning about healthy eating habits, practical cooking lessons, and sharing a meal together.
What you will learn:
• New food knowledge and cooking skills
• How to plan meals to reduce food waste
• How to save money on your food budget
• Safe food handling and storage
• How to understand food labels
We will cook 3 recipes each week – 2 savoury and 1 sweet/dessert, sharing a meal together at the end. Or you can take your meals home.
NEST is designed for a group of 12 participants who attend all six weekly sessions, held at the same time and day each week. To make it easier for families to take part, free onsite childcare will be provided.

15 May, 22 May, 29 May, 5 June, 12 June, 19 June.
🕥 Time: 10:30am - 1:00pm
📍 Where: Medowie Community Centre
This program is open to all serving and ex-serving veterans and their families.
Independent participants must be 16 years and older.
Parents with children welcome! A creche will be available.
