Skerzo presents: Spanish Nights
Skerzo is an artist collective formed in 2019 by a group of friends at the University of Melbourne, brought together by a shared love of making music.
What began as an excuse to play together has grown into a series of concerts celebrating both classical repertoire and inventive collaborations.
Spanish Nights sees Skerzo perform a vibrant piano duo concert celebrating the passion and excitement of Spain. Featuring four-hand works by Albéniz, Moszkowski, de Falla, and Granados, the program showcases the richness of Spanish-inspired music through dazzling collaboration at the keyboard. The program then ventures beyond the traditional canon with a reimagining of Bizet alongside Rosalía and The Weeknd, before concluding with Gaspar Cassadó’s Piano Trio in C Major.
Skerzo performs purely for the joy of the music, and they invite audiences to be part of that experience.
