Welcome to Monash Council's third Winter Series 2026 show!

Join us for a lively evening of Celtic music, dance and community spirit.

Enjoy performances from acclaimed artists including Cyril Moran, AFMA Youth Artists of the Year Apolline, and award winning Celtic favourites Austral, alongside spectacular Irish dance performances and a welcoming, all abilities Ceili dance for everyone to join.

Program also features dancers from the Mulcahy Delaney School of Irish Dancing and the Victorian Irish Dance Academy, followed by a fun, inclusive Ceili led by Kirsty Greenwood and headline band Austral—no dance experience required.

Be captivated by performances from the Mulcahy-Delaney School of Irish Dancing and the Victorian Irish Dance Academy before stepping onto the floor yourself for a fun, welcoming ceili led by Kirsty Greenwood and Austral - no experience required.

With food, drinks, interactive activities and plenty of opportunities to join the festivities, Monash Ceili is a night for families, folk lovers and curious first-timers alike.

Cyril Moran
Cyril Moran is an Irish born singer and guitarist based in Melbourne, known for his rich vocals, strong harmonies and a repertoire that blends traditional Irish favourites with contemporary and original songs. A familiar face in Melbourne’s Irish music scene, Cyril brings warmth, energy and authenticity.

Apolline
AFMA Youth Artists of the Year 2024, Apolline is a lively trio of young folkies combining fiddle, cello, double bass and an extensive collection of colourful socks. The group views folk music through fresh eyes with foot-stomping sets and original songs to bring a unique experience of genre-bending folk.

Austral
Winners of the 'Group of the Year' 2024 and 'Traditional Folk Album of the Year' 2022 Australian Folk Music Awards (AFMA), Austral will transport you into full festival party mode. They are a high-energy, four-piece Australian Celtic group combining didgeridoo, Irish pipes, high energy fiddling, journeying songs and energetic foot percussion. Whether you see them on stage or at the session afterward, Austral will get your festival going. HUP!

Mulcahy Delaney School of Irish Dancing
The Mulcahy Delaney School of Irish Dancing, based in Oakleigh, delivers high quality Irish dance training from beginner to championship level. For this event, dancers from the school will present two lively Irish dance performances showcasing skill, rhythm and tradition.

Victorian Irish Dance Academy
The Victorian Irish Dance Academy (VIDA) is a family focused Irish dance school offering affordable classes for dancers of all ages and abilities. Led by award winning teacher Kate Bilton TCRG, VIDA dancers will present a joyful Irish dance performance celebrating tradition, fitness and community.

All Skills, All Ages Ceili Dance
You’ve watched the pros, now it’s your turn! Get on your feet and learn traditional Celtic dances in this fun, inclusive ceili for all ages and abilities. Led by Kirsty Greenwood and the headline band Austral, bringing over 30 years of folk music and dance experience to the floor.

Food & Drinks

A bar and food truck will be set up on the night for you to purchase food and drinks from.
