About the exhibition
Featuring nearly 400 extraordinary works, this internationally acclaimed exhibition traces the evolution of Cartier from its early masterpieces through to contemporary creations. Each piece reflects a distinct blend of innovation, elegance and technical mastery, with jewels and objets d’art that have been worn and commissioned by royalty, cultural icons and influential figures around the world.
Visitors will also gain insight into Cartier’s creative process through original design sketches, archival drawings and historical photography, offering a rare and intimate perspective on the Maison’s enduring legacy.
Exclusive to Melbourne, this exhibition has been developed by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London in partnership with NGV, and includes significant international loans alongside highlights from the Cartier Collection. The immersive exhibition design further enhances the experience, drawing visitors into a richly layered world of form, light and detail.
