The Late Entrants
About
With Special Guests: jib (Naarm - Melbourne)Following a string of successful local shows, including a massive night in the Malmsbury Hotel and a standout set at Sidonia Fest, The Late Entrants are back. Returning to Major Tom’s with a stack of momentum. This Malmsbury and Drummond-born outfit is ready to showcase a suite of exciting new material.
The group continues to fearlessly explore indie folk, rock, and electro sounds, creating a genre-bending style that is famously difficult for the band to describe, but accidentally memorable to those who bears witness.
Led by Chris Hudson and Josh Ellis (both known locally as “who’s that guy?”), the lineup is anchored by the groove-stylist Steve Myers on bass and human metronome Damien Fletcher on drums. They bring heartfelt lyrics, layered instrumentation, and the unshakable energy of four blokes who finally figured out what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Opening the night is jib, an emerging Naarm-based band that weaves alternative grooves into folk. Supported by a band of friends on horns, strings, and percussion, jib floats effortlessly between fun melodies and powerful emotional storytelling. Whether you’re there to dance or cry, jib provides the perfect kick-ass Melbourne arrival to the Kyneton stage.
Don’t miss a night of home-grown legends and very exciting emerging talent.
