Maths Webinar:M in STEM: Making the maths visible
About
STEM learning is often associated with building, coding, robotics and design challenges, but mathematics is what helps students make sense of problems, test ideas, analyse results and explain why a solution works. In this 30-minute Maths in Schools webinar, we will explore how to make the M in STEM more visible in primary classrooms, using ideas from the Maths in Schools courses and the Australian Curriculum v9.0 STEM Connections resource.
The session will include practical classroom examples and a simple planning frame to help teachers evaluate the mathematics in STEM tasks, strengthen curriculum connections and ensure maths is purposeful, visible and connected to real-world problem solving.
This webinar is suitable for primary teachers at all levels of STEM confidence.
