Set during a train journey, this witty and imaginative two-hander explores the unlikely encounter between two very different travellers. As their conversation unfolds, what begins as small talk gently expands into something more playful and reflective, touching on creativity, connection, and perspective. Warm, humorous, and quietly moving, the piece was shortlisted for Best Scripted Comedy Drama at the BBC Audio Drama Awards in 2016.
Red Handed
Centres on a sudden and unexpected meeting between two men under unusual circumstances, unfolding in real time. Through sharp, character-driven dialogue, the play blends tension with understated comedy, revealing layers of motivation and intrigue without losing its light touch. Like many of Finnemore’s works, it is both clever and engaging, drawing its strength from the interplay between its two characters.
