Monthly Workshops: June with Linton Elethios
About
This workshop explores the cultivation of eloquent power, articulate rhythm, and spontaneous malleability through a diverse range of movement forms, exercises, and frameworks drawn from Linton Elethios’ training lineage and professional practice.Material will be informed by contemporary dance, Countertechnique, Latin American and Ballroom Dancesport, Flying Low, martial arts, yoga, and other movement disciplines that have shaped his approach.
Participants will encounter physicalities, movement principles, and genres of dance drawn from these lineages and hybridised within Linton’s contemporary perspectives. Material may include floor work, partnering concepts, expansive travelling movement, rhythmic complexity, and approaches to movement informed by these other genres.
Designed for dancers with post-tertiary or equivalent professional-level training. Participants should be comfortable navigating complex movement material at speed, working with sophisticated spatial pathways, and adapting rapidly within a physically demanding environment.
