Illume Learning is thrilled to host this webinar series especially for Disability Support Workers
Quality disability support is about more than providing care. It requires an understanding of disability, a commitment to respectful and person-centred practice, and the skills to support people in ways that promote independence, participation, and quality of life.
This three-part webinar series has been designed for disability support workers, team leaders, and disability service providers who want to strengthen their understanding and enhance their day-to-day practice. Combining contemporary disability perspectives with practical support strategies, the series explores the foundations of effective disability support, with a particular focus on supporting people with intellectual disability in respectful, person-centred, and disability-affirming ways.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of disability, learn practical strategies for supporting people with intellectual disability, and develop confidence in understanding and responding to behaviour.
All 3 sessions will be available on-demand for the full months of July and August 2026 - allowing participants flexible access to view the content at times convenient to them.
