Direct from Clarksdale Mississippi, the birthplace of the blues , Deak Harp & Quicksand are an authentic electric blues duo steeped in the rural blues that gave birth to rock n roll. Deak is considered one of the premiere blues harmonica players in the world as well as a professional custom builder of quality blues harps. He learnt harp under one of the greats in James Cotton, who played in the Muddy Waters band. As a duo Deak and Quicksand have performed throughout the deep south, at festivals like the New Orleans Heritage festival and many others. Supported by Australian Bluesman Frank Sultana, this will be an unforgettable night of real deal blues. In January 2023 Frank marked his place in Australian music folklore when he became just the third artist outside of North America to win the prestigious Memphis International Blues Challenge in its 43 year history. With 8 Sydney Blues Society Awards and an APRA nomination , Frank is one of the most sought after and recognisable blues artists in the country.Date
