Kirup Camino 2026
About
Join the 3rd, annual Kirup Camino to launch World Mission Month in WA and to celebrate the feast day of St Therese of Lisieux, patron saint of Missions. Hosted by Catholic Mission and the Spirituality Hub Kirup, we invite you to follow in the tradition of pilgrim paths around the world, like the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Participants will receive a ‘credencial’ (pilgrim passport/booklet) to be stamped along the way of the 16km pilgrimage. The Kirup Camino starts at 8.30am at the Church of St Therese, Balingup, with the pilgrims' blessing, and ends with a Pilgrims’ Mass with the Bishop of Bunbury, the Most Rev George Kolodziej SDS, at 3pm at the Holy Family Church, Capel St, Kirup. A rest stop is provided at Mullalyup (the mid-way point), where tea, coffee and water will be available. BYO own lunch, snacks, water, raincoat. Pilgrims are asked to park at Kirup and use the shuttle bus (sponsored by the Catholic Development Fund) to Balingup. The shuttle bus departs Kirup at 8am. Detailed briefing notes will be emailed to participants after registration.Date
