Rutherford Library is throwing open its doors for a free morning tea, and you are invited.2026 is a big year for libraries. The State Library of NSW turns 200, Maitland Libraries turns 80, and public libraries across the state are celebrating together through Open Doors, Open Books, Open Minds. Our Open Day brings all of that to Rutherford with morning tea, displays, giveaways and good company.
It is also the perfect day to share the library you love. Bring a friend who is not a member yet, and when they join on the day you will both go into our bring-a-friend prize draw.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are a lifelong borrower or walking through the doors for the first time. Come along, stay for a cuppa, and rediscover what your library can do.
Booking helps us cater, so please register your spot. Light refreshments will be provided.
