Breath + Tea Healing Circle (CANCELLED)

Location
About
An evening to slow down, breathe, and simply be.
Sometimes we need a little space to slow down, reconnect with our bodies, and simply notice what is here.
Tea + Breath Healing Circle is a gentle evening of herbal tea, intentional breathing, music and connection.
We will begin by sharing a carefully prepared herbal tea, allowing time to arrive, settle into the space and connect.
From there, you will be invited to lie down, get comfortable and journey through breath and music.
There is no performance here.
No perfect way to breathe.
Nothing you are expected to achieve.
You may feel peaceful. You may feel emotional, restless, connected, reflective, or simply present.
Whatever your experience, you are invited to meet it with curiosity.
We will gently close the evening together with time to ground, reflect and share — if you wish.
What to expect
🌿 Herbal tea prepared and shared in circle
🌿 A gentle guided breath and music journey
🌿 Time to slow down, rest and reconnect
🌿 Space for reflection
🌿 Optional sharing and connection
🌿 A small, intentionally held and welcoming group
No previous experience with breathwork or meditation is needed.
Who is this for?
This circle is for anyone longing for a little space to slow down.
You don't need experience with breathwork, meditation or healing circles. You don't need to be particularly spiritual.
You may be feeling tired, disconnected, overwhelmed, curious, or simply drawn to the idea of sharing tea and breathing in a room with other humans.
Come as you are.
The space
Held at Sumone in Burleigh Heads, the circle takes place in a warm, intimate space created for gathering and connection.
Places are intentionally limited to keep the circle small and allow space for each person to settle comfortably.
What to bring
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, water, and an eye mask or eyeshades if you have one.
You are also welcome to bring anything else that helps your body feel comfortable while lying down. Your favourite crystal is welcome here.
Yoga mats and bolsters are available at the venue if you need a little extra support.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
A gentle note about the tea
The herbal tea shared during the circle contains mugwort, which is not recommended during pregnancy, and there is limited safety information regarding some of these herbs during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Please do not drink the herbal blend if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Drinking the tea is always optional. If you have known plant allergies or take medication that may interact with herbal products, please check with your healthcare professional before drinking the blend.
A note about the breathing practice
The breathing practice offered in this circle is gentle and invitational. This is not an intensive or forceful breathwork practice, and you remain in control of your breathing throughout the experience.
You are always welcome to return to your natural breath, change position, sit up, rest or stop at any time.
Please listen to your body. There is nothing to push through, and nowhere you need to get to.
Held by Aline
I'm Aline Christ, a degree-qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a special interest in trauma-informed care, altered states and the relationship between body, mind and healing.
My approach brings together scientific curiosity, human connection and a deep respect for each person's individual experience.
I believe healing doesn't always need to begin with fixing, analysing or explaining.
Sometimes, we begin by creating enough space to listen.
There is nothing you are expected to achieve. You are simply invited to come as you are.
