Payday Superannuation for Producers
About
If you produce gigs, shows, or events and pay performers and service providers to bring your event to life, you legally need to pay their Superannuation. NEW Payday Super legislation came into effect as of 1 July 2026, and the ATO-provided clearing house was closed. Find out what that means for you and how to pay Superannuation efficiently and on time.Hosted by Taco (chartered accountant and performer) and Pomme de Terror (performer and producer).
This practical, no-nonsense workshop will provide you with the information you need to get your Payday Super payments sorted.
We’ll cover:
- Why super matters and why you (probably) legally have to pay it
- When the laws changed, and what that means for you
- How much super to pay and when it’s due
- How to pay it through your accounting software or other online tools.
No jargon, no judgement, just everything you need to start managing super the right way and stay on the right side of the law.
NOTE: This workshop will be recorded and sent to participants after the workshop; however, if you can't attend on the day, you will still need to register for a spot so we have an email address to send it to (and so you help pay our admin costs).
