South Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Saturday 12th Sept 2026
SMSO continues its 2026 season on Saturday 12th September (note: not a Sunday) with Prokofiev's timeless fairytale Peter and the Wolf in which we welcome Reuben Morgan from the BallaRat Pack as narrator and the jewel that is Schubert's "Little" C major symphony. The concert also includes the Dance of the Hours by Ponchielli, the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody no 2 and Gabriel's Oboe from Morricone's score for 'The Mission', with the solo played by our principal oboist Sophie Wallace.

Due to the continuing temporary closure of the South Melbourne Town Hall, this concert will be at St Stephen's Anglican Church 360 Church St Richmond.
