About
This is an online, OT-led program designed to help children aged 6-12 with Type 1 Diabetes better understand their body’s internal signals (interoception) in relation to blood glucose changes.
Across three structured sessions (run over 3 consecutive weeks), children (with a parent/caregiver) will learn to:
• recognise early body clues associated with low and high blood glucose, as well as increased ketones
• understand what these body signals may mean
• build confidence communicating how they feel to parents, teachers, and others
The program is delivered online but involves activities which are hands-on and interactive.
These sessions are for Primary-School children aged 6-12. If you have High-School aged teens aged 13-17, please register them for the High-School Group here.
