Wild & Cultured - A Journey Into Fermented Drinks
A workshop rooted in a holistic approach to sustainable living, born from the very real need to overcome autoimmune illness. At the heart of this workshop is a personal story: the journey from the debilitating effects of severe autoimmune disease to a vibrant lifestyle built on growing your own produce, whole-food eating, preserving the harvest, and fermenting. The role of fasting along this path is openly and honestly discussed.
This is an interactive, demonstration-based session focusing on how to make cultured drinks in your own home kitchen for your personal health and wellbeing. You'll watch each step up close as the ferments (apple cider vinegar, water kefir, kvass and kombucha) are made from start to finish, and you'll taste the raw, living probiotic liquids before they're flavoured and bottled. Along the way you'll learn the differences between the most common fermented drinks, and come to understand why each of us may need a different probiotic to feel our best.
Your ticket includes a kombucha starter pack to take home, so you can begin brewing straight away, plus a tasting of our medal-winning product range including our gold-medal cultured drinks and vinegars.
This is a unique opportunity to watch, taste, and ask questions directly to Dr Newcombe in a relaxed, supportive setting. Group sizes are limited to just 12 participants, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Participants will also have the chance to purchase water kefir starter kits and cider vinegar SCOBYs to continue their fermenting journey at home. Weather permitting, join us for a wander through the kitchen garden and see where it all begins.
Please note that this is a child-free event and that the venue currently does not have disabled access.
Can't make the scheduled times? Why not get some friends together and have an exclusive private lesson!
If you have a group booking of 6 -8 people you can organise a dedicated workshop at a time that suits your travel plans.
