About

Step back to 1860 at Old Government House, nestled in Belair National Park.

Built as the summer residence of South Australia’s early governors, this State Heritage listed complex holds many fascinating stories of the people who lived, worked and visited here.

Join a guided tour through the grand rooms and original servants’ quarters, then wander the gardens at your own pace.

Now showing in November and December: Dressed for the Day, an exhibition of Victorian clothing by the Victoriana Society of SA. See how a lady and her servants dressed, in reproduction clothing made today from period designs. Included in your tour, these glorious clothes will be displayed in the House and Servants' Quarters.
