This 90 min workshop will give you the tools and tips to help develop both tantalising traditional and eye-popping Neo-burlesque acts. This workshop also includes time to ask those questions that you sometimes have been too scared to ask about creating acts based in history, so bring your ideas and your questions and let's get learning!
Bring your note taking tools (digital or physical) and wear comfortable clothing. This is not a movement class, but a listening/discussion class.

About Dollar:
Dollar Dazzler (They/Them) has been performing since 2012 and has toured Australia, United States & Canada. In 2014, they began producing Perth’s original Nerdlesque revue “Live! Nerds! Nerds! Nerds!”. Dollar has taught their “how to research for your act” to many performers across Australia, receiving the honour of teaching the class in 2021 as part of the online portion of Burlycon, the world’s only Burlesque education convention based in Seattle, USA.
In 2022 Dollar obtained their Bachelor’s in History and Anthropology with Curtin University, specialising in queer and striptease history and its impact in Neo-Burlesque spaces. Dollar is consistently working on preserving Australia’s Striptease and Neo-Burlesque History and has in the past collaborated and assisted with exhibitions presented by the Australia Burlesque Museum across Australia.
