This seminar is for students aged 13 and above. Please note there are two ticket prices for AFTK members and non-members. You do not need to be an individual AFTK member to access member pricing. If your dojo is an AFTK member dojo, you are eligible for member pricing (no individual membership required). The AFTK aims to keep events affordable and accessible to all participants.

This seminar will be held face-to-face only.

All sessions run for 90minutes each. Lunch (30min break) is held between Session 2 and 3 at 12:30pm.

Marketing for dojo owners and instructors

• Brett Ferreria - Karate
Introduction to Nipaipo kata with detailed partnered practice of the kata's various & creative applications. Practical study of this unique kata's bunkai and applying the Kofukan Technical Principals to carry over to real world effectiveness.

• Robert King - Karate
Exploring the principles behind entries & exits against aggressive opponents, and utilising pre determined responses to neutralise attacks.

• Brian Hayes - Kobudo
The session will delve into a relatively unknown weapon, Muge. The session will explore the kata and focus on the similarities with nunchaku particularly in close order blocking, counters and controls against armed and unarmed opponents. Bring your muge or nunchaku. (We will also have spare weapons, if needed.)
