In this beginner friendly class, you will learn to design, carve and print a series of Xmas Cards with linocut. Printmaking is the perfect art form for anything you wish to reproduce, such as season’s cards and Christmas gifts. And if you are not really confident with your drawing skills, linocut is for you: simple and bold designs always look best!What will we cover?

- Carving your block of lino,
- Printing three Christmas cards
Who will be teaching?
Emilie (she/her) is an artist and educator based between Melbourne and Marseille (Fr), working across media with a focus on community-based practice and education. She graduated from her PhD in Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2020 and has been an art resident at Testing Grounds (2020), Making Space (2021) and the Comic Art Workshop (2021). Emilie has exhibited her works at FortyFive Downstairs gallery, the Abbotsford convent, No Vacancy Gallery, Arcade and George Patton Gallery.
Cost $25 - includes all materials for three cards. You leave with your carved block to make more prints at home!
