Glenelg Baseball Club 2026/27 Player Registrations

Player registrations are now open for the 2026/27 season.

Please read the  2026/27 Fee Structure & Terms and Conditions which can be found on the GBC website here before proceeding if you havent already. Please register and pay according to the player’s age group, based on their date of birth – not the team or age group they may end up playing in / filling in for. 

Glenelg Baseball Club (GBC) fees must be paid through TryBooking:

• Pay your GBC fees by 1 October 2026 to receive the Early Bird rate.
• Each player paid in full by 1 October 2026 will also receive a meal voucher to use at the Season Launch Event and Christmas Party!
• Standard fees apply after 1 October 2026.
• Fees increases further if paid after 31 December 2026.

 All GBC fees must be paid in full by 28 February 2027. 

Payment plans are available for GBC fees and must be approved in advance. To receive the Early Bird rate under a payment plan, your first instalment must be paid by 1 October 2026 ($50). Contact secretarygbc@outlook.com before the season begins to arrange a plan.

Sports Vouchers (Juniors in Reception to Yr 9)

Eligible junior players can use their SA Sports Vouchers Plus entitlement towards their GBC portion of their fees.

Enter the discount code GBCSportsvoucher100 ($100) or GBCSportsvoucher200 ($200) during the TryBooking checkout. You must also complete the government Sports Voucher form and email it to secretarygbc@outlook.com immediately after registering.

Compulsory BA/BSA Registration

Baseball Australia and Baseball SA registration, insurance and state capitation fees are separate from GBC fees and must be paid through the GameDay registration portal before your first game.

Players are not insured or eligible to play until their GameDay registration and associated fees have been paid.

2026/27 GBC Volunteer Levy 

Community sporting clubs like ours cannot operate without volunteers. At Glenelg Baseball Club, we continue to struggle to fill the roles and cover the workload needed to run the club properly. 

Despite a strong membership base, too few people are putting up their hand to help. This lack of volunteers is placing a heavy burden on the same small group of people year after year, which is not sustainable. 

To address this, the Club will conitune with the Volunteer Levy this season like last season. This system—already common in other community sporting clubs—ensures that all members contribute fairly, either through volunteering their time or by paying a levy that helps support the club’s operations. More information about the Levy can be found on the GBC website. 

When registering via TryBooking you must choose: 

•  Volunteer your time OR

• Pay the levy:

  • Junior/Individual: $150 or

  • Family: $300 (when more than 2+ members from the same immediate family play)

Exemptions apply for GBC Head Coaches,  GBC Board members and other GBC volunteer positions as approved by the board. The maximum levy per family is $300.  

Please note: Volunteer hours will be allocated across areas such as the bar, canteen, kitchen, BBQ hut, or other club events as directed by the Board. The exact number of hours will depend on overall member responses, but we anticipate this to be approx. 8 hours across the season. Bar shifts can only be filled by members who hold a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. Failure to complete your alloacted hours throughout the season will result in you needing to pay the levy at the end of the season.  

This change has become necessary because too few members are volunteering. By sharing the load more fairly, we can make sure the Glenelg Baseball Club remains strong, sustainable, and enjoyable for everyone. We thank you for your understanding and continued support.  

Concessions

• Playing Head Coaches: Pay BA/BSA registration fees only and are exempt from both the GBC fee and the Volunteer Levy.
• Playing Life Members: Pay BA/BSA registration fees only but must either complete volunteer duties or pay the Volunteer Levy. 
• Approved Volunteer Positions: Pay BA/BSA registration fees only and are exempt from both the GBC fee and the Volunteer Levy.
