Australia ICOMOS, in collaboration with the ICOMOS Climate Action Working Group through the Preserving Legacies Heritage Adapts! Community of Action campaign is offering Climate Literacy Training for Heritage Professionals (CLTH) in the form of a full day in person workshop at the City of Fremantle’s Walyalup Civic Centre, on Tuesday 22nd September 2026.Delivered by accredited trainers Flavia Kiperman and Stephanie Johnston, the course will address the critical necessity for cultural heritage professionals to build capacity in responding to climate-related issues under the following modules
• Science and impacts;
• Carbon footprints and vulnerability;
• Adaptation and mitigation;
• Climate justice and equity.
The goal of CLTH is to activate new climate leaders and grow a global community of heritage custodians committed to climate mitigation and adaptation.
