22702VIC + 22578VIC – Combined Asthma & Anaphylaxis
Delivered by Community Languages Victoria (CLV) in partnership with CPR First Aid, a nationally recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO No. 21903), this combined course includes:
- 22702VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies
- 22578VIC Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

The anaphylaxis qualification is approved by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and covers recognising, preventing and responding to allergic reactions, including the administration of an adrenaline auto-injector (EpiPen®).
The asthma qualification provides participants with the skills and knowledge to recognise and respond to asthma emergencies across a range of settings including schools, early childhood services, workplaces and community environments.

TOPICS COVERED
- Conduct risk assessments and identify asthma and anaphylaxis risks
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of asthma and anaphylaxis
- Respond confidently to asthma emergencies
- Respond confidently to anaphylaxis emergencies
- Administer asthma medication correctly
- Administer adrenaline auto-injectors (EpiPen®)
- Develop risk minimisation strategies
- Communicate effectively during emergency situations
- Complete workplace documentation and incident reporting
- Understand relevant workplace guidelines and protocols
DELIVERY MODE
This course consists of:
- Online theory and assessment (must be completed before attending the practical session)
- 3-hour face-to-face practical session
Participants who do not complete the online component before the deadline will not be permitted to attend the practical training.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
Community Languages Victoria is committed to making this training as accessible as possible.
During registration, participants will be asked whether they require any language, literacy, numeracy or digital (LLND) support. This information allows us to notify the training provider in advance so that appropriate assistance can be arranged where required.
⚠️ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
- A valid USI (Unique Student Identifier) is required to receive certification.
- Online theory and assessment must be completed before attending the practical session.
- Participants must attend the session they have booked.
- Please ensure your full legal name matches your identification and USI records.
BOOKING TERMS
To confirm participant numbers with the training provider, all bookings are final and non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may request a transfer to another available session (subject to availability) for a $25 administration fee.
