Introduction to Songwriting (Yr2 - Yr 6)

Join us for Introduction to Songwriting presented by two of our teachers, Hana Lavers and Julian Smith-Gard. In this workshop we’ll be looking at popular songs written by artists across the world, and exploring what it is that makes their songs so catchy! You’ll learn to play basic chords, structure your very own verses and choruses, and write lyrics to put to your music.

- Set your own lyrics to music
- Record your songs to show friends and family!
Children attending will be encouraged to play piano, ukulele, or guitar throughout the workshop, and must be comfortable working in groups with other kids.
Age range: 7 - 12 years old (Years 2 - 6)
What to bring: a guitar or ukulele from home (if you have one), and packed snacks for a recess! Please no nuts.
