Inspire Umpire Academy – 12-week Development ProgramFor Unbadged Umpires Working Towards Their C Badge
This program is designed to support developing umpires through a structured and supportive pathway that blends education, confidence-building, and on-court
practical experience.
What’s Included
• 12 x 1-hour weekly sessions delivered by experienced facilitators
• A mix of theory, scenario-based learning, and live match play mentoring
• Weekly focus areas aligned with Netball Australia’s C Badge competencies
• 1 session led by our Head of Athlete Performance (fitness + nutrition focus)
• Use of real games to give umpires practical experience with feedback
Session Highlights
• C Badge Success Formula
• Rules and Sanctions (Minor vs Major, Held Ball, Contact, etc.)
• Game Management Protocols (Court checks, injury time, jewellery, etc.)
• Game Voice, Language & Presence
• Building Confidence and Match Play Readiness
• Fitness, Nutrition and Self-reflection
Cost: $165 per umpire, we will also allow an option for participants to participate in lieu of match payments for the upcoming season.
