We are delighted to share that we are continuing the very successful Junior School initiative, Westbourne’s EDGE Academy and will be running it again during the upcoming school holidays.
EDGE (Enrichment, Discovery, Growth, and Exploration) is a dynamic holiday experience designed to ignite curiosity, stretch thinking, and inspire creativity.
The focus for our Term Three program is a 2-day Glee Club facilitated by Lucy Durack (Glinda, Elle Woods and Princess Fiona in the original Australian casts of Wicked, Legally Blonde and Shrek the musical).
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
Date: Thursday 24 and Friday 25 September, with a mini concert at 2:30pm on Friday.
Duration: 2-day enrichment program (9:00am - 3:00pm)
Year Level: Designed for Prep - Year 4 students
Program: A fun, inclusive introduction to musical theatre, incorporating singing, movement, storytelling and confidence building
Led By: Lucy Durack, who will be joined by experienced professional musical theatre performers and educators
Pricing: $370 per student (both days)
STRUCTURE:
Students will be grouped by age and rotate through a variety of engaging activities across the day to ensure the experience remains dynamic, supportive and age appropriate. The program will be delivered by a team of experienced teachers, with staffing scaled according to enrolment numbers to maintain a high-quality experience.
To celebrate the students' work, we will invite parents and carers to a complimentary mini concert at 2:30pm on the second day, giving the children a chance to share what they've learned in a fun and supportive environment.
WHAT TO BRING:
Snack and lunch, as students would on a regular school day.
