A 'crackle' of cockatoos and a growling grass frog - Authors visit the Yea Wetlands

Friends of Yea Wetlands invites you to this school holiday event. Come to the Yea Wetlands and learn about frogs and cockatoos through stories read by their authors. We have two authors coming: scientist and author, Teisha-Sloane Lay, will read Litoria and her wetland friends, and Chris Brennan, author and Yea Wetlands volunteer, will read Carl the Cockatoo and the magic seed bell. Both delightful stories that teach children about frogs and cockatoos and their environment.

After the reading, and if weather permits, we will head into the wetlands to explore some of the themes in the stories, within the context of Yea Wetlands. Wear clothing suitable of a bush activity. Litoria and her wetland friends is suitable for ages 4-8 and Carl the Cockatoo for ages 4-9. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
