WSET Level 3 in Wines Tasting
About
This course provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking for individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines. Students will learn about how the key factors in production of wine influence the characteristics of still, sparkling and fortified wines. Students will learn how to explain wine style, describe their characteristics dn evaluate their quality using the WSET Level 3 Systematic Approach to Tasting Wine ®(SAT).Delivered as a combination of face to face and online sessions, totalling 30 hours of tuition and two exams. Dates of delivery are:
o Face to face – Wednesday 14 October 2026, 10 – 5.00pm
o Online – Tuesday’s 6 – 8.00pm weekly, 20 Oct until 24 November 2026
o Face to face - Monday 11 January 2027 + Tuesday 12 January 2027, 10 – 5.00pm
o Exams – Thursday 14 January 2027, 10 – 5.00pm.
A 30 minute closed book tasting exam and a two hour closed book theory exam.
Students will taste over 60 wines throughout the course and it is recommended that students allows for an additional 54 hours of personal study time.
Total course costs are discounted to $1,855 (incl GST), with a $250 deposit to be paid up front.
A Tax Invoice will be issued for the balance fees that must be paid 2 weeks prior to the course commencement. Course materials will be provided to you once deposit has been paid to enable preparation.
