Meet Our Guest Speaker | Simon O’Callaghan
We’re excited to welcome Simon O’Callaghan, CEO of Fraser Coast Tourism & Events, to our September Chamber Breakfast. With more than 20 years of experience in tourism, destination marketing, events and regional economic development, Simon brings a wealth of knowledge about what makes regional economies grow — and the role local business plays in that success.
Having stepped into the CEO role in February, Simon brings fresh eyes to the Fraser Coast at an exciting time for our region. Tourism doesn’t operate in isolation — visitors spend with our accommodation providers, retailers, cafés, restaurants, tour operators and countless businesses across the wider economy. What attracts people here, how we tell our story and where our region heads next matters to all of us.
This is a great opportunity to hear directly from one of the people helping shape that direction. What does Simon see for the Fraser Coast? Where are the opportunities? And how can our local business community be part of what comes next? Join us for breakfast, bring your questions and be part of the conversation.

Organisation of the Month Spotlight | We’ve Got You Foundation
We’ve Got You Foundation is a Fraser Coast community-led charity helping local people when they find themselves caught in the gaps — particularly across health, wellbeing and transport. Their focus is practical, timely support for people who may be waiting for funded assistance or simply don’t have anywhere else to turn.
From helping people access important appointments to providing short-term support when it’s needed most, their work is a great example of locals looking after locals. If you see Sue Dodd from We’ve Got You Foundation, be sure to say hello and find out more about what they’re doing, the people they’re helping and how our local business community can get behind them.
A conversation worth having. A local organisation worth knowing.
