From Broadway to Hollywood Boulevard.The Ruby jazz Club and Brisbane International Jazz festival presents to you The Larman & Brothers Quintet- Show Tunes & Hollywood Classics.
The Larman & Brothers Jazz Quintet features Meredith Brothers (piano), Stephanie Larman (vocals), Andrew Shaw (double bass), Evan Evans (drums), and Ken Chow (tenor saxophone). Formed during their Bachelor of Jazz Music studies in Brisbane, the group has performed extensively across Brisbane and beyond, appearing at leading venues, clubs, restaurants, hotels and private events, including the Lord Mayor’s City Hall Concerts, Brisbane Jazz Club, Tattersalls Club, Queen Street Mall Concert Series and The Brisbane Club.
Led and arranged by Meredith Brothers, who recently opened The Ruby Jazz Club with her husband following four years of planning and renovations, the quintet brings a fresh jazz perspective to beloved show tunes and Hollywood classics.
Expect timeless favourites such as Mack the Knife and Moon River, reimagined through sophisticated arrangements, vibrant musicianship and the group’s shared passion for jazz.
With a blend of nostalgic melodies, creative interpretation and dynamic performance, the Larman & Brothers Jazz Quintet promises an engaging evening of much-loved songs, presented with a fresh and distinctly jazz-inspired twist.

Step inside from 6:30 pm. The music begins at 7:30 pm. Venue closes at 11.30pm.
Seating is unreserved and claimed by those who arrive first. The early ones always find the best vantage point.
Food and small plates will be available throughout the evening, and the bar will be flowing with local and international wines, classic cocktails, fine spirits, and a deep collection of bourbons worthy of New Orleans itself.
To find us, follow Mead Lane to its very end. Turn left. Look for the red door. We’re the fourth premise on the right.
