Join us over 3 day Sept. 11 to 13 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Akira Kurosawa's RAN.When one of the greatest filmmakers of all time adapts one of the greatest literary works of all time, the result can only be described as epic. In 1985, iconic director Akira Kurosawa adapted William Shakespeare‘s ‘King Lear’ and crafted one of – if not the – best cinematic representations of the Bard’s canon with RAN. Nominated for numerous Oscars, (including Best Director for Kurosawa, who was 75 years old at the time), the film won for Best Costume Design.
