Celebrate the magic of movie puppetry and get up close with beloved, eerie, and unforgettable characters.
Explore the craft, performance and invention that bring iconic screen characters to life, from ingenious handmade mechanisms and animatronics to contemporary digital wizardry.
Joyful, surprising and deeply human, Lifelike invites teachers and students to rediscover the wonder of puppets and connect with studies of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, and Media Arts.
NB: an optional section of the exhibition features creations, materials, and assets from horror genre films. ACMI recommends this section of the exhibition is rated PG, for children aged 10y and up, and families can use their own discretion.
Notes:
- Open to all ages, $13 per child
- Adults & children under 4yo free
- Session end time is approximate: families may stay as long as they like in the exhibition, & may like to also visit ACMI's free / walk-in general exhibit
- HEN members only, new members very welcome!
