Celebrate Tulip Time and discover the amazing connection between flowers and bees!
🌼 Age: 5–12 years
🎟️ Cost: $5 per child
As the tulips burst into colour, our gardens come alive with pollinators. Join us for a fun and interactive introduction to honey bees and discover how these tiny insects help our flowers, gardens, farms and environment flourish.
During the session, kids will explore:

🌷 Tulips, Flowers & Pollination – Discover how bees and other pollinators help flowers reproduce, and why pollination is so important for our gardens and food.

🐝 The Busy Life of a Bee – Learn how honey bees forage for nectar and pollen, communicate with each other and work together as a colony.

🏠 Inside the Hive – Explore the different parts of a beehive, including hive boxes, frames and wax foundation, and discover how beekeepers work alongside the bees.

👀 Meet the Bees – Get a close-up look at live honey bees through our specially designed, fully enclosed display frame. Kids can safely watch the bees at work without coming into direct contact with them.
From tulips in the garden to honey bees in the hive, this experience brings the story of spring to life and shows kids just how connected our flowers, bees and environment really are.
🌼 A fun, hands-on experience for curious kids who love nature, animals and discovering how the world around them works.

Tickets are required for all participating children. No refunds will be issued for this event.
Please note: At least one family member must be a library member to attend this event. Please provide the library membership number when purchasing your ticket.
