SEPWA Grass Patch Field Walk 2026
About
🚜 From N Banking to 2027 costsPlease join us for the Grass Patch Field Walk on Friday 18 September for an afternoon of trial results, paddock discussion and peer learning.
The program will take us across a series of local trial sites, looking at some of the production and business decisions growers are working through now and heading into next season.
Topics include:
• Three years of SEPWA’s GRDC N Decisions Trial – is N Banking paying its way?
• SEPWA’s GRDC oat trial and InterGrain’s oat breeding trial – what does it take to reliably make OAT1?
• Canola NVT performance plus options for managing slaters at emergence
• SEPWA’s GRDC RiskWi$e trial – what are three years of results telling us about soil pathogens?
• Field pea NVT – variety performance, inoculation and nodulation
• SEPWA Wheat Variety Trial – sowing wheat earlier: which varieties fit?
We’ll finish at Bowman’s shed with a panel discussion looking ahead to 2027:
2027 costs are coming – what price, cost and risk can we lock in?
The panel will explore the outlook for input pricing and supply, grain markets, production costs and the levers growers can use to manage risk and gross margins heading into next season.
Friday 18 September | 12 noon start | Grass Patch
A BBQ hosted by Rabobank will follow the panel discussion.
