After a lifetime in music and more than two decades helping build Australia's experimental music scene, natbates returns with soul low. A collection of intimate piano songs, soul low is his most emotionally direct work to date, following the ambitious 2023 double album création.“My new album 'soul low' is a collection of intimate piano songs and the most personal music I've released to date. It's a long way from the sprawling prog rock, cosmic ambition of my previous double album 'création', but perhaps much closer to home. These songs were written during a period of self-imposed exile, reflecting on creativity, connection, loss, hope, and what remains when everything else is stripped away.”
Join us for the album launch and the first live performance of songs from the new record. With special guests Alicia Sometimes, UNIT (solo) and Gus Gilmore.
