Join us to hear from Warren Andersen, an urban planner and passionate architectural historian. Andersen traces how emigre and immigrant architects found fertile ground for innovation in two different settings - sun drenched California and the windswept coasts of Western Australia. At the heart of the presentation is the singular figure of Iwan Iwanoff, a Bulgarian-born architect who made his mark on the suburbs of Perth, Australia with bold sculptural concrete block designs.
