Please join us at ECU City for an artist-led tour of The Shadow Between Us.The Shadow Between Us explores the psyche of extended embodiment. In each of the works the artist's shadows guides us into a looping of attention and movement. We become part of a cyclical relationship between performance, perception and image making. Emerging from the image relationships are psychological landscapes that exist between place, perception and technology. The Shadow Between Us asks us to consider how inhabiting images of ourselves shapes experience.
The exhibition extends across the ECU Forum screens and Spectrum with a soundscape by Dr Mikhail Doumov.
The artist will lead you on a tour through the exhibition at ECU City. Meet in the Forum at the main entrance on Yagan Square to view the large format video works and have a short introduction to the exhibition. Using either the elevators or escalators we will then explore Spectrum on Level 7, where you are invited to play the holographic prints and interactive video installation with your movement.
