舞 MAI - Textures of Japanese Dance

Experience a unique Japanese cultural evening exploring the stories of a long-past culture through traditional dance and folk music and Wadaiko.

Our Special Guest performer and master Japanese dancer Nao Kamei will introduce us to the heritage of Tsukushimai Dance traditions through music and dance and share stories dating back hundreds of years that depict life in pre modern Japan.
Taiko On will also be performing some special and new pieces we have been working on recently, featuring Contemporary Taiko, Lively folk music, bamboo flute, keyboard and percussion.
