For this eighth lunch meeting of our Perth Rotary Centenary Year, our meeting Chair - Past President Graham Peden - invites you to join us for Rotary Fellowship, and hear from Professor Alan Harvey, Emeritus Professor and Honorary Senior Research Fellow in Human Sciences, the Perron Institute, Lions Eye Institute and the Conservatorium of Music.
Alan will enlighten us with what is known about the brain circuits in processing music, including emotional responses such as motivation and reward. Following this, he will present his insights into the life-long and beneficial impact that music and exercise (dance) have on brain function, plasticity and memory.
