In recognition of Gambling Harm Awareness Week (24–31 October 2026) join us for a free online community event hosted by Monash, Maroondah, Manningham and Kingston Councils.The event will feature a screening of the ABC documentary Going For Broke, which explores the growing impact of gambling in Australia and the experiences of individuals, families and communities affected by gambling harm.
Following the screening, participants will hear from a gambling harm prevention expert and a panel of specialists who will discuss key themes from the documentary, provide practical information about reducing gambling-related harm, and share available support services.
This event is an opportunity to learn more about how gambling can affect financial wellbeing, mental health, relationships, housing security and community wellbeing, and to connect with information and support in a safe and respectful environment.
This is a free online event. Registration is essential.
