Flood Risk in Day-to-Day Council Operations

Build practical confidence in recognising and responding to flood risk across everyday Council activities and decision-making. This four-hour online course explores how flood information can be applied across Council operations, including roads, drainage and other assets, overland flow paths, access and public safety. Participants will learn to identify potential risks, understand their roles and responsibilities, use available flood information to inform operational decisions, and recognise when issues need to be escalated. The course also supports consistent, proportionate and well-documented decision-making.

No prior knowledge is required, and participants will receive four CPD points.

The training will be delivered online across two sessions in September 2027. Exact dates and session times are to be confirmed.
