Typical Girls & Just Holler: Phoebe Bridgers & Boygenius
Location
About
This is the second time Typical Girls Guitar Group will join Just Holler Choir for their Spring Season. This year our guitars will accompany the choir singing the songs of Phoebe Bridgers and her supergroup, Boygenius.
Phoebe has just released her third solo studio album Lost Weekend to critical acclaim and to celebrate we're going to spend 6 weeks enjoying her uniquely melancholy brand of catchy pop, emotionally climactic rock and sad folk harmonies.
We'll learn 4 songs over 4 x 1.5 hour weekly rehearsal sessions at Newlands Neighbourhood House, then join the choir at Ceres Environmental Park for a final rehearsal before the performance in Week 6.
Everyone will need an acoustic guitar (unless you're playing bass).
Optional: electric guitar & amp to play lead on a song or 2
Wednesdays 7 - 8.30pm for 6 weekly sessions, starting
